Don't kill your sales prospects with one of these terrible opening lines.
WHY? This group of lines, selected by Harry Friedman as the "five worst opening lines in selling", make it way too easy for customers to blow you off with a "conversation buster" like "I'm just browsing".
HOW? It should be pretty easy to see why the following lines don't work:
- Can I help you?
- Are you looking for anything in particular?
- Can I answer any of your questions?
- Do you know about our sale?
- We just got that in. It’s really great, isn’t it?
