YOUR TIP FOR APRIL 6, 2011
What's the most overlooked selling season for most jewelers? Graduation. If that's the case for you, change it this year.
WHY? For some jewelers, graduation season is their second biggest of the year. Given the need for a lasting and symbolic gift, it should be one of your biggest too.

HOW? Mail a "Graduation Gift" letter to each senior parent one to two months prior to graduation. Emphasize jewelry that will celebrate this occasion and stay with them long after cash or iTunes cards. Tell customers, "It's the best occasion for a relative or friend to give a truly memorable piece of jewelry to someone close to them, which will allow them to treasure and remember the giftbearer, not just for a single year, but forever."
