  YOUR TIP FOR MARCH 6 , 2012

Need an identity? Become "Red Bow-Tie Guy".

WHY? If you're working in a store – especially a big one – and aren't standing out from the other salespeople, you should take every chance you can to distinguish yourself. Putting on a red-bow tie does that immediately, says sales expert Harry Friedman. At least you know when customers come back in to see you, they can ask for "the guy in the red bow-tie".

HOW? Buy red bow-tie. Tie on. Or, more likely, clip on. By the way, if you're a woman, you can become "Cat's-Eye Glasses Girl".
