Stores will begin to integrate new digital technologies.
Gucci announced recently plans to install its new digital shop-in-shop format at selected stores around the globe. Each will have a 40-inch vertical video touchscreen sales associates will use to show the brand's clothing, handbag, jewelry and timepiece lines. In addition to video, there will be an iPad featuring Gucci jewelry and watch catalogs. The digital technology will “transform traditional shopping into a multi-faceted and innovative experience,” the company said.
