Chances are if you're a jeweler and you're betting on the Kentucky Derby this weekend, your money is going on Gemologist. The horse is the odds-on favorite to win, and his name connection is probably too much for many jewelers to pass up. If this sounds like your strategy, then trainer Todd Pletcher has good news for you: Gemologist is Mr. Consistency. The bay colt is the lone undefeated horse running the race, and is a two-time winner at Churchill Downs. Pletcher went so far as to say Gemologist's approach during work reminds him of another superstar — Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
