What's Your Favorite Fourth of July Tradition?

The Fourth of July is traditionally a slow time for jewelers. A lot of our readers take time to celebrate America's birthday by grilling out and enjoying adult beverages with family, friends and fireworks. And for that, I'm jealous.

That's because INSTORE's editorial team doesn't celebrate the Fourth of July. Yes, we love America. But, at the risk of sounding treasonous, we love our readers even more — so we worked. Some of us prepping our latest Cool Stores issue that will hit your mailboxes later this month, while I continued to crank out incredibly interesting daily content in a never-ending quest to keep instoremag.com as fresh as possible (hint: return often to take full advantage).

And as noble of a goal as that is, I miss celebrating my nation's birthday. Tradition in my family consists of an old-fashioned grill out with brats, burgers, corn, guacamole, and Skyline chili dip. Friends usually stop by too. And my uncle takes various groups of people out on his boat. All good fun. All missed.

So, to console me (or rub it in), this week for Participation Friday let me know what traditions you continued this week as you celebrated the Fourth of July. Comment below!
